About

We are James and Kris De Jong. We have deep roots here in Northwest Iowa, and are raising our four kids here. We have a daughter in college who got married in the summer of 2021, adding another member to our family, a daughter in high school, and two sons in grade school. We enjoy the time we get to spend with our kids and value our flexible careers that allow us to do that. James is a concrete contractor and Kris is a hairdresser and stay at home mom.

When our youngest child started school, Kris found herself with extra time on her hands. Kris is a caretaker at heart and we decided raising some puppies would be a great way to stay busy. We were right! So, what puppies would be best for us? Our children have some sensitivity to pet dander, so we knew we needed to breed dogs that were less likely to shed. We did some research and soon grew to love doodles. We adopted our first dogs, Rosie and Spike, and started to grow our not so small doggie family. They were the best possible addition we could have made to our family. Rosie is an F1 Goldendoodle, and Spike is a mini/toy purebred red Poodle. In 2018 Paisley joined our family. She is a beautiful, red F1 Tuxedo Goldendoodle. From the beginning, Paisley and Rosie were best friends, and Spike never left his ladies’ sides. This year we came across the opportunity to adopt Claire, an adorable, black and white Old English Sheepdog, and Augustus, who we call Gus. He is a handsome, black and white Parti Poodle. We also adopted the sweetest little Bernese Mountain Dog who we named Violet. We are looking forward to growing our program, hopefully adding Sheepadoodles and Bernedoodles in 2022.

We live on 5 beautiful acres near the Rock River, and our dogs have plenty of room to run and explore. We prioritize and take pride in the health of our dogs. It is very important to us that every puppy raised here will have a long, happy, and healthy life with their families. We are very fortunate and grateful to have such wonderful breeding parents. Every litter born to our mama’s, Paisley and Rosie, have been loving, energetic, and beautiful babies.
